Mission Statement

“ Making a Lasting Impact ”

The Croton-Harmon High School Future Business Leaders of America (“FBLA”) organization is a co-curricular activity that will introduce each member to the world of business enterprise and community service initiatives. Being in the organization means that each member enters into a community of leaders learning from diverse backgrounds but with a common goal: to gain knowledge about the business world, each other, and themselves. This organization intends to assist each participant in becoming effective leaders and life-long learners.

Our goal is to enhance the quality of education by promoting the involvement of our members by their efforts to become responsible, productive, and contributing members to our society, community, the Croton-Harmon School District , and Croton-Harmon High School . CHHS FBLA is a refreshing forum for innovation and creativity and allows the flexibility to meet individual needs. Our organization recognizes that the preparation of students for responsible business career positions rests within the school and considers this program a service project to Croton-Harmon High School.

CHHS FBLA is designed in an effort to stimulate students' interests in business and career choices. For students, the program will provide practical training and experience in the business world. It will teach students not only actual work duties, but also career exploration, and developing quality professional and personal values. The students will learn how to write effective and competitive resumes and cover letters, interview for jobs, research companies and industries, and gain valuable leadership skills while testing out and exploring careers.
