Croton-Harmon High School offered students and their families some guidance for starting the year off right during its Jan. 13 Wellness Night.

Spanish Students Entertain Peers with Puppets
Maria D’Amato’s sixth-grade Spanish classes recently put their speaking skills on display in a fun puppet show inspired by the book “La Vaca Que Decía OINK” by Bernard Most.


Transportation Building Renovations Complete
Following a yearlong construction process, a safer and cleaner environment for the district’s transportation staff and vehicles is now fully operational.

Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School fourth-graders are in the midst of sewing pillows as they delve into the Colonial history unit.

It’s Electric: High Schoolers Visit Indian Point
Croton-Harmon High School’s ecology students took a field trip to Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan on Dec. 16.

CET Students Sign Holiday Song at Singalong
Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School students showed off a new skill at the schoolwide singalong before heading off for the holiday break.

Grossman Named Intel Semifinalist
Croton-Harmon High School senior Emily Mina Grossman was named an Intel Science Talent Search semifinalist on Jan. 7.


CHHS Brings Talent to the Stage

Croton-Harmon High School’s annual Talent Show will take the stage on Friday, Jan. 9.

CET Feels the Rhythm

Clutching djembe drums between their legs, Carrie E. Tompkins fourth-graders beat their instruments using the “gun,” “go” and “pa” (bass, tone and slap) motions to create African rhythms.

On November 15, 2012, the Board of Education of the Croton-Harmon School District contracted with The Altaris Consulting Group. Altaris works with school administrators and school teams to determine their district's current level of emergency preparedness.

To further discuss CET building issues we have assembled a panel discussion that will be held on
Monday, November 17 from 7 pm – 8:30 p.m. in the CET multipurpose room.
Panel participants will discuss testing results and offer perspectives on our investigations to date (including the medical perspectives of air quality issues).  To give our experts time to prepare for the evening, and to ensure that all concerns get addressed we ask that you submit your questions in advance of the November 17 meeting.
