2014-2015 School Board Election Information

Three (3) positions as Trustees of the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District (member of the School Board) will be filled by election in May 2014.  Each position is for a three-year term, from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017.  Each position is at-large, to be elected by all participating voters.  

Nominating petitions will also be available from March 10, 2014 through April 21, 2014 at the District Office, 10 Gerstein Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday and on April 21 until 5:00 PM.  The petition packet can also be obtained by clicking here.

Croton-Harmon High School will host the fourth annual districtwide Experience Science and Innovation Fair on Thursday, May 8 at 5:30 p.m.

CHHS Senior Wins Prestigious Human Rights Award

Marina Vergara, a senior at Croton-Harmon High School, received the Richard A. Berman Leadership Award for Human Rights on March 12 at the 13th annual Human Rights Institute for High School Student Leaders, sponsored by the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center and held at Manhattanville College.

One week in March marked the annual Parents as Reading Partners celebration at Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School. The week of literary activities featured

According to The Journal News, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has proclaimed that his proposed budget increases school support by 3.8 percent, or an additional $1.3 billion. What the governor fails to acknowledge is that the state has continued to cut education funding, dramatically so since 2009, using a mechanism known as the Gap Elimination Adjustment.
